Discontinued Yarn Hunt
DISCONTINUED YARN SHOPS ONLINE
Dyed & Gone They specialize in the best of discontinued premium yarns from well-known manufacturers.
Discontinued Yarn The name says it all.
Yarn Paradise Garage Sale Wonderful selection, great prices, and fast shipping. It’s also a good place to find yarn cheap (not just discontinued yarn).
CONSIDER THESE
eBay They have a section just for discontinued yarn. It is
a huge online store where people often use eBay to rid of yarn they no longer
want.
Etsy They have a discontinued yarn section. But also look, independently, for your yarn on their website. It may be available to purchase, but the seller had not put it under the discontinued yarn section.
Ravelry This is the world’s largest knit/crochet community online. It is an excellent place to look. Plug in your yarn here to see if someone will trade or sell their stash of it. Believe it or not, you might get it from someone who had not intended on selling theirs. I have sold yarn to a desperate knitter who ran out. This was although I had not listed my stash for sale. I was still willing to sell it. I suggest asking them only if you have exhausted your other options. Try here.
Amazon and Other Major Chains Online Your yarn might still be available on Amazon, Walmart, Target, and other major store websites if it was just recently discontinued.

FACEBOOK GROUPS - Try these groups. If you do not live in the United States, do a Facebook search for “yarn buy sell” (or “yarn destash”) and then add the name of your country. Or for your area’s name. (City, county, etc. You get the idea.)
Yarn Destash And More
GOOGLE SEARCH - If unable to find your yarn, do a Google search. It may surprise you to find it is available in a local yarn store in another city. And they may ship it to you. There are also swap shops, thrift stores, and yard sales.
Yarn Substitutions

substitute with another yarn!
Manufacturer Website - Several manufacturers list suggested substitute yarns for the ones they have discontinued. If your yarn is older, call them. Often, they will have excellent suggestions and know best.
